Dear Friends in Christ, 

 ⁴⁴It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, ⁴⁵for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. ⁴⁶Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last. Luke 23:44-46

Do any of you have tickets to the Rodeo this year?  If so, how many of them are Full Access Passes?  There are certain parts of the Rodeo and concerts that you can see easily and others that are much harder to get into.  Unless your credentials are better than mine, you probably don't have much access to the inner workings of the Rodeo.

Some might think that God's kingdom is similar to this.  The thought goes that we are allowed to catch glimpes and pieces of God's kingdom and that is all we can expect.  But during one of the darkest moments in earth's history God won for you a Full Access Pass. 

The darkness was thick at the time of Jesus' death.  The sun stopped shining.  And an old curtain ripped in two.  The curtain of the temple that separated a holy place from the most holy place was no longer needed.  Through the death of Christ God gives us access to himself and that is right where you want to be.  When Jesus' work was done he gave his Spirit into his Father's hands and paid the ultimate price.  He gave his life for yours.  And the curtain was torn in two.  Nothing separates you from the Heavenly Father.  His love has torn down every barrier that separated you.  Your Pass will last from now on through eternity.

May God give all of us hearts that reflect the joy of sharing this full access.
